A workshop that explores ways of using stitching to link small paper fragments to create articulating fabric-like surfaces.
The word ‘assemblage’ describes a textile that is created by combining multiples of different materials; fabrics, papers, threads, photos, abandoned samples, surfaces that hold memories, any item that has meaning for your story that can be stitched into.

Fragments and multiples can be made into a whole. Machine stitching, hand lacing and soluble materials will be used to link these fragments, using the stitch to link and decorate the fragments.

Bring your own fragments of personal memories together in your own textile investigations. Please contact Sian for further details.
